If so, lets talk. Your Role and Responsibilities This is a position on IBM's Corporate Environmental Affairs staff, reporting to the Director, Environmental Governance and Product Stewardship. Individual will monitor, evaluate and remain current and knowledgeable on growing government proposals and/or requirements on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting (e.g., EU non-financial reporting directive, EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, EU Sustainable Finance Directive, EU Due Diligence Directive, and U.S. SEC reporting requirements). Individual will lead Corporate Environmental Affair staff's participation in and provide input to development of IBM's compliance strategies for ESG reporting. Individual will also monitor, evaluate and remain current and knowledgeable on external voluntary disclosure standards and guidance, such as those developed by the Task Force of Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), and the World Economic Forum Stakeholder Capitalism metrics, assess IBM's external disclosures against them, and develop recommendations for modifying IBM reporting practices to better meet stakeholder needs. Individual will support Corporate Environmental Affairs staff internal and external reporting and disclosure of information related to IBM's environmental programs and performance. Working with technical subject matter experts, the individual will develop responses for inquiries and external environmental questionnaires from investors and third-party environmental rating programs, monitor and review external environmental ratings and evaluations for IBM and correct information as necessary. Individual will develop content for communications materials such as annual Environmental and Corporate Responsibility Reports, blog posts, websites, and other disclosures of environmental content, and prepare presentations, documents, and other materials for internal communication of IBM's environmental performance to executive teams and the IBM Board. Required Technical and Professional Expertise * Exposure to a broad range of environmental topics, either through course work or experience * Excellent oral and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate to a broad range of audiences. * Strong leadership and critical thinking skills Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise * 3+ years of relevant industry experience * Knowledge of environmental and sustainability reporting standards and frameworks * Professional work experience dealing with environmental disclosures and reporting
