Are you looking for a new challenge to drive and improve quality control testing, with a chance to broaden your leadership skills? If so, this Senior Quality Control Chemist role could be a great opportunity to consider.

The job holder provides routine QC Microbiology laboratory, with the purpose of meeting daily routine requirements as well as achieving goals established by the manager.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following...

  • Completes daily assigned routine tasks timely and accurately (may include testing of GMP samples, Clean Utility sampling, Environmental Monitoring, reporting of data, assisting other Microbiologists, general lab housekeeping, paperwork completion, data entry, filing, etc.)
  • Serves on team projects (i.e investigations, new equipment) in the role of testing support and initiation of investigation
  • Responsible for completing laboratory housekeeping to ensure safety and compliance
  • Identifies areas for improvement or gaps in both safety and compliance (ZAPs/ZIPs)
  • Effectively communicates issues/hurdles to supervisor and/or manager
  • Supports GSK site initiatives and departmental goals
  • Requires holiday and weekend work

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology OR Microbiology
  • 1 year industrial experience in biopharmaceutical industry, such as Microbiology, Biology, or related field experience.
  • Note: Must be willing to work holidays and weekends. At times may need to work outside of business hours.

Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Developing knowledge and application of the QMS (Quality Management System).
  • Knowledge of company products and quality impact as it relates to those products.
