JOB SUMMARY:

ASTI Environmental has an opening for a full time, skilled, detail-oriented, well organized Wetland Scientist.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Reviewing site plans for conformance to wetland, woodland, and natural features ordinances
Preparing environmental permit applications
Managing client communications, both written and verbal
Speaking at public meetings, including public hearings
Writing environmental documents
Performing field work, potentially including wetland delineations, trees surveys, plant inventories, wetland mitigation monitoring, and endangered species surveys

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Strong Mid-West plant identification skills
Ability to work outside for extended periods, occasionally during inclement weather
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
Proven writing and communication skills
Greater than four years' experience
Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology (Biology, Environmental Science, Botany, Natural Resource Management, Resource Ecology), Landscape Architecture or Environmental Engineering required
PWS certification preferred
