Responsibilities:

What You'll Be Doing

The successful candidate will serve as a quantitative lead consultant for the Sustainability & Energy practice at Cadmus and will be in charge of developing and executing on methodologies to support our clients with climate strategies. The candidate will also play a leading role in mentoring and training junior staff and supporting the management of the team. In addition to quantitative analysis, this role will also provide broad technical support across several projects related sustainability, greenhouse gas emissions reductions, and climate strategy development and implementation.

The successful candidate will bring training and experience developing renewable energy and climate mitigation projection models, greenhouse gas inventories, climate reporting protocols, and supporting related data collection and metrics tracking. The candidate will be familiar with appropriate data sources, tools, and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities:

Lead the development of greenhouse gas inventories for state and local governments, and other clients as needed

Model the greenhouse gas impact of climate mitigation strategies

Analyze economic, health, and environmental co-benefits associated with greenhouse gas reductions (using IMPLAN, Environmental Protection Agency tools, NREL tools, and/or other tools)

Effectively summarize quantitative findings in graphs, charts, and written reports to tell the client's story of or plan on climate action

Verbally present to and interact with clients of varying levels of expertise and knowledge on climate, modeling and analytics, and reporting protocols

Support clients to develop data collection or tracking tools and strategies

Contribute technical and methodological expertise to proposals

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

A Masters' degree in a relevant field or Bachelor's degree with a commensurate level of work experience in the energy sector (Masters' degree and 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelors' degree and 8 years).

Ability to lead quantitative modeling on greenhouse gas inventories and greenhouse gas mitigation efforts.

Strong interpersonal, organization, and time management skills

Excellent technical, analytical, writing, and presentation skills

Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Some travel (3-5 days per year) may be required post-COVID.

Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S Perm Resident or U.S. Citizen

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced degrees in Business, Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Sustainability, Climate Change, Risk Management, Engineering, Energy, or a related discipline

Direct experience working in a consulting firm environment

Candidates should be passionate about sustainability, self-motivated and self-directed, collaborative, and able to produce high-quality work products

Ability to work independently in a deadline-oriented and project-based environment on multiple projects at once

Desire to take on new challenges and continued professional development

Ability to collaborate remotely across geographies and sectors
