There is a growing outcry for change. But change often seems impossible when special interest groups have more influence over environmental policy than everyday people do.?

In order to make real progress on issues that we care about we need to build a grassroots people-powered movement. People-power is built when hundreds and thousands of folks come together and make their voices heard. And that?s the kind of work we do at Clean Water Action?

Clean Water Action is a non-profit environmental political advocacy group founded during the passage of the landmark Clean Water Act in 1972.?

Our mission is to protect our environment, health, and quality of life for all communities. Clean Water Action advocates for strong environmental policy on the local, state and national level through coalition building and grassroots pressure. For 50 years Clean Water Action has succeeded in winning some of the nation's most important environmental protections through grassroots organizing and political advocacy focused on holding elected officials accountable to the public.?

Clean Water Action is dedicated to being an anti racist organization. We believe that those most affected by environmental degradation should be at the forefront of the environmental movement to contribute to broader goals of justice for the most vulnerable among us.

In order to be an effective ally and partner in environmental justice work, we are working to create a culture that allows all people to thrive and grow within the organization. We know that a diverse staff will result in more varied, effective ideas and approaches to our campaign objectives, strategy, and tactics.

Candidates who possess a strong commitment to environmental, social, and political justice, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor will be well suited for this role. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
