Wood is growing and we have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Level Environmental Project Manager to join our Salt Lake City operation. Our team has an excellent reputation and the ambition to expand and serve an increased client base in a growing business line. As part of the Wood team, you will join in leading an established group and become a part of the Wood Global Technical Expert Network (GTEN) where you will be connected and collaborate with more than 400 engineers and geologists focused on advanced solutions to the complex issues that face our diverse client base. Our professionals are networked across our organization and are active in technical organizations advancing our practice.

Wood's Salt Lake City office provides a broad range of services in engineering, geology and sciences including regulatory compliance, environmental site assessments, soil and groundwater investigations, remedial alternative analysis and design, and negotiations with state and federal agencies. The successful candidate will bring diverse experience in marketing and managing environmental liabilities for industrial and commercial clients in the energy, mining, oil and gas and/or transportation sectors, adept in emerging contaminants, and experienced in federal sector program management to contribute to the expansion of our environmental consulting business in Utah and the Intermountain Region.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new clients and advance target client relationships for our environmental business by networking with current industrial and commercial contacts and by providing technical expertise to other Wood offices with clientele in the Utah and/or Intermountain Region.

Develop and manage proposals and projects defining scope, costs, budgets and schedules for soil and groundwater investigations, site characterization, vapor intrusion assessments. remedial action plans, human health and ecological risk assessments and remedy implementation in accordance with state and federal regulations and generally accepted industry standards.

Work collaboratively with environmental team in the performance and documentation of field activities, data collection, data tabulation, data evaluation and report preparation.

Perform data analysis and environmental forensics to develop strategic and effective remedial solutions based on sound technical interpretations and accepted scientific/engineering practices in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.

Prepare project reports and perform QA/QC report reviews on client and agency deliverables that comply with environmental regulations, company standards, contract requirements and related specifications.

Skills / Qualifications:

B.S. or M.S. degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Geochemistry, or other related fields.

PG or PE (Utah) desired.

8+ years of experience with increasing responsibility.

Demonstrated engineering, geological, and scientific expertise for negotiations with Federal, State and Local agencies.

Demonstrated experience with CERCLA and RCRA regulations, and EPA Brownfields and State UST/LUST, Water Quality and Voluntary Remediation Cleanup Programs

Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with development of data quality objectives, conceptual site models, contaminant concentration evaluations for VOCs, SVOCs, TPH, PFAS and metals, field management, and contractor oversight etc.

Must be a self-starter, team oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

OSHA 40 Hour Hazwoper and current 8 Hour Hazwoper Refresher

Excellent computer skills including proficiency with the use of standard software packages including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ability to travel to project sites primarily in Utah and Intermountain Region.

Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy.
