One of our clients is looking for experienced candidates for a full-time Environmental Scientist position to assist with Renewable Energy projects. The Project Manager/Scientist will be working in a challenging and variable environment that will include detail-oriented independent work and client interactions. The successful candidate will have the aptitude to succeed in managing multiple small and large projects while supporting business development efforts in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
Job Duties:
-Support and manage the performance of technical and environmental studies, assessments, surveys, and inspections for energy projects
-Support and manage environmental due diligence projects
-Willing to travel and conduct fieldwork in a range of environments from busy urban areas to remote locations
-Review and interpret local, state, provincial, and federal environmental regulations
-Prepare reports and communicate results to clients
-Assist with managing projects and client relationships
-Assist with maintaining project timelines and budgets
-Assist with managing project schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6
Desired Skills and Expertise:
-Project/Task management experience
-Experience with renewable energy projects, preferably offshore wind and/or solar in utility-scale environment
-Experience using Microsoft Project
-Strong written and oral communication skills
-Solid Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project) and other software tool skills
-Demonstrated capabilities in understanding and applying environmental regulations to real-world situations
-Excellent analytical and organizational skills
-Ability to work well independently and at remote job sites
-Ability to manage work on several tasks at any given time
-Ability to work well with a team
-Experience working in Virginia is preferred
Education and Experience:
-B.S. or M.S. in an Engineering, Science or Mathematics/related major
