The Biology Department at Creighton University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professorship in the area of aquatic ecology to begin July 2022. Ph.D. required; post-doctoral experience and prior teaching experience preferred. We seek individuals committed to being outstanding teacher-scholars within a primarily undergraduate institution. The successful applicant will contribute to Creightons Biology and Environmental Science programs through course offerings in aquatic ecology, foundational ecology, and introductory biology, as well as other areas of expertise (e.g., biostatistics, genomics, microbial ecology, environmental toxicology and/or remote sensing/GIS).

Tenure and advancement require effective teaching and development of a research program involving undergraduate research students and leading to peer-reviewed publications. Opportunities exist for collaboration with faculty in Creighton's health sciences schools as well as other entities in Omaha (e.g. Henry Doorly Zoo, USACE-Omaha District, National Park Service-Midwest Regional Headquarters, Nature Conservancy).

Qualifications:

A Doctorate from an accredited college or university;

Postodoctoral research experience or prior teaching experience preferred
