Biology Lab Tech - Entomology in Indianapolis, IN.

This role is a long term contract (12+ month), and pay will be $19 - $24/hr.

Looking for a highly motivated individual interested in working with nematodes. The job is an entry level role and would involve routine and detail oriented work.

Basic tasks include but are not limited to: insect colony care maintenance, working with plants in Greenhouse, following SOPs internal guidelines, preparing soil/media as needed, preparing insect media, handling eggs of insects and nematodes, disinfecting insect eggs and pupae, setting up moth cages, stocking supplies, and cleaning lab spaces, insect cages etc.

The individual must be able to work in a team environment as all lab spaces are shared, and also be comfortable working alone on solitary tasks. The candidate must have good organization skills and great attention to detail.

Qualifications

- Associates or BS degree in Agriculture, Biology or related field is desired.

- Must be ok working with insects (all non-hazardous and non-venomous).
