The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Environmental Engineer/Scientist to join the team in San Antonio, TX.
Come join the Boeing Environmental Engineering team at out Boeing San Antonio site! A successful candidate will be part of the San Antonio EHS team and a leader with strong environmental knowledge and experience. This position will require a candidate with knowledge and experience across multiple environmental media types (Air Quality, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Waste Water, Storm Water, etc). The San Antonio site it home to the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) which works on Air Force 1, C-17, F-18 and F-15. The candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with manufacturing operations in a heavy manufacturing environment to ensure environmental compliance is maintained across several programs. A successful candidate will possess experience interacting with regulatory agencies.
Position Responsibilities:
* Leads the development, implementation and administration of environmental management systems, processes and programs
* Leads and develops compliance reviews of internal processes and practices
* Acts as focal for environmental emergency response activities
* Evaluates facility conditions and recommends alternatives
* Leads interface with regulatory agencies
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Post start
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
* Bachelors of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry, or other technical degree
* 5+ years of environmental engineering supporting heavy manufacturing
* 5+ years of experience with environmental engineering over multiple media types (chemical, air, waste water, storm water, hazardous waste etc.)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
* Experience with environmental regulations for the Southeast
* Full time aerospace industry experience within Environmental Control Systems
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
