Cellular BiologistKey Responsibilities:a Work in a matrix team environment to enable optimal delivery of projecta Generate, characterize, and optimize biological reagents (cells, viruses) as needed by sponsored program teamsa Set up and break down of large scale experimentsa Analyze and summarize any experimental or quality control data using a variety of laboratory instrumentation and computer softwarea Registration of biological samples and preparation of samples for shippinga Routine laboratory maintenancea Compliance with all company R&D data integrity practices, ethics codes, standards and training, and safety training and practiceBasic Qualifications:a Bachelor's degree in a life sciences discipline (e.g. molecular biology, cellular biology, immunology) with at least 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or a Master's with at least 1+ years of relevant laboratory experience.a Sterile insect, mammalian, and/or bacterial cell culture experiencePreferred Qualifications:Qualified candidates should have strong practical knowledge of cell biology with practical knowledge one or more of the following:a Generation of baculovirus, bacmam virus, or lentivirusa Experience with recombinant protein expression systems (bacteria, insect and/or mammalian)a Generation of batches of adherent or suspension cell lines (small and/or large scale)a Operation of bioreactor systemsa Automation or high throughput enabling equipment / workflows (96- or 384-well assay formats, use of multidrop reagent dispensers, etc.)a Molecular biology techniques such as construct design, recombinant DNA technologies, CRISPR gene editing Per our client's policy, individuals hired for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 unless otherwise prohibited by law.
