Environmental Project Manager (Entry Level): Federated Environmental Associates, Inc.
POSITION RESULTS DESCRIPTION- November 2021
Federated Environmental Associates, Inc. is a 30-year old environmental consulting and geosciences consulting firm that is national in scope. We specialize in various environmental and property condition assessment services. This is a great entry level opportunity to work in a professional environment. We are looking for someone with a technical or natural sciences degree. The Project Manager-in-Training provides technical and administrative support to the Sr. Environmental Assessors while developing increased technical and project management skills.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Completes eight or more Phase I or Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) per month to identify recognized environmental conditions (RECs) and other conditions of environmental concerns as outlined in the scope of work. Also completes all duties as assigned.
Attends short training courses in asbestos, mold, wetlands, lead, and other environmental disciplines.
Position includes extensive but short-term travel (single day and over-nighters on occasion)
Researches regulatory and historical data through various means, including but not limited to Internet research, telephone inquiries, and visits to regulatory agencies.
Assists in developing and writing reports by conducting follow-up technical research, writing addendum letters and incorporating report changes.
Produces computer design maps as needed for inclusion in assessment reports.
Increases technical knowledge and experience by developing an understanding of commercial real estate transactions and due diligence; continues technical training and obtains required environmental certifications; gains in-depth understanding of ASTM 1527-14 Phase I ESA procedures and methodologies.
Delivers outstanding customer service through timely response and proactive solutions to client needs. Demonstrates Federated Environmental's guiding principles in support of the company's strategic goals.
Follows all documented policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions applicable to the position and in support of Federated Environmental's quality standards and project due dates.
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree from accredited four-year college or university with a technical degree (geology, biology, environmental science, chemistry); working knowledge of Microsoft Word and internet research. Looking for individuals with a 3.3 or greater cumulative GPA.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license, personal credit card.
Other Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; sound judgment skills including ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
