Qualifications We seek a colleague with a strong record of publication and potential for securing extramural funding who can incorporate undergraduates into their research program. Demonstrated teaching excellence and a Ph.D. in biology, biochemistry, genetics, microbiology or a related area are required. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in a relevant field by the expected 8/1/22 position start date and must demonstrate both commitment and contributions to diversity, equity and inclusion. Post-doctoral training is highly desired. The successful candidate is expected to establish an active research program in an area of molecular biology including, but not limited to:• Cell Biology• Developmental Biology• Microbiology
Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to lead a rigorous research program, which will include securing extramural funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. The candidate's primary responsibilities will be to establish a research program with undergraduate student involvement and teach four courses per year. This could include contributing to introductory biology classes as well as developing upper-division courses in the candidate's field of expertise.
