Position Purpose:

Ensure that all Safety and Environmental related activities are carried out in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and to ensure that the company complies with all Environmental, Health and Safety regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:
  • Create, implement and maintain programs and procedures to ensure that the Company complies with environmental regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for SPCC, SWPPP, ERCP, HMBEP
  • Train and direct employees on established Environmental and Safety standards and procedures.
  • Prepare inspection reports, generate corrective actions.
  • Storm water, Industrial User, SCAQMD; Complete applications for required permits
  • Provide and maintain monthly and yearly reports to corporate office
  • Directs facility safety staff to ensure appropriate regulatory training is performed.
  • Participate with new hire safety orientation activities.
  • CA Hazardous Waste Management, DOT
  • Work with Worker's Compensation insurance provider to manage all claims.
  • Maintain ISO 14001 certification

Education and/or Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety Sciences (or related field) strongly preferred; or extensive work experience in the HS&E field.
  • Minimum 3 years working in a manufacturing facility with a focus in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Previous experience utilizing Behavior Based Safety Principles and/or programs in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and delivering training
