Summary of Major Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate Scientist, Computational Biology to join the Data Sciences Team. You will be a part of the team involved in the development of computational biology methods integrated with multi-omic lab workflows to enable new molecular diagnostic assays. In close collaboration with the wet lab team, other R&D scientists, Regulatory, and Technology you will help build high quality, scalable solutions to address a critical unmet medical need. Your work will directly contribute to the performance and quality of our current and future products and thus patient care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize computational biology methods to enable early detection of cancer using multi-omics biomarker data.
Partner with wet bench scientists to deliver highly sensitive and specific results from clinical samples by fully integrating molecular biology, sequencing, and computational methods.
Analyze and interpret assay results in the context of analytical and operational constraints to enable method development and optimization.
Work collaboratively with members of the Technology and QA teams to validate analysis pipelines to meet regulatory requirements and internal performance standards.
Work with the software Engineering team to implement bioinformatics methods into production pipelines that meet enterprise software standards.
Communicate results in internal and external forums to support scientific, regulatory, and business objectives.

Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Ability to travel 10% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computational Biology or related quantitative fields.
Experience with NGS data analysis and tools.
Strong programming and computing skills (e.g., Python, R, Scala).
Previous experience with cloud computing desirable.
Self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Master's Degree in Bioinformatics, Statistics, Computational Biology or related quantitative fields.
