Division Description:

The Green Bay Mill Division is a vertically integrated paper mill that manufactures containerboard using 100% recycled furnish. The operation consists of one paper machine responsible for the production of linerboard and medium paper used to manufacture corrugated boxes. This family-owned mill is located near the mouth of the Fox River in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Green Bay Packaging Inc., Green Bay Mill Division is a fully-integrated paper mill that manufactures containerboard using 100% recycled furnish. The operation consists of one paper machine responsible for the production of linerboard and medium paper used to manufacture corrugated boxes. This family-owned mill is located near the mouth of the Fox River in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities:

The Lab Technician will be primarily working in our main wet lab and our paper test lab. He or she will report directly to the Lab Manager. Anticipated duration (4-6 months).

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Facilitating process chemical unloading from trucks, railcars, and totes.

• Conducting various process and river water tests to comply with quality standards and environmental regulations.

• Sorting and performing physical paper property testing on the finished product.

• Cleaning and maintaining lab equipment.

• Calibrating lab equipment.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree as a process technician or chemistry or in process of pursuing degree in related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• In addition to formal education, must apply practical knowledge of mechanics, chemistry, and electronics.

• Must coordinate with personnel in all departments and management.

• Must continually learn new processes, equipment and skills.

• Must be capable of providing assistance where required, exercising independent judgement.

• Must be willing to work in dirty, noisy, hot, humid environments.
