Job summary


Arcadia University invites applications for an Assistant Professor (tenure track) position in the Department of Biology. The individual who is awarded this position will teach in foundational core courses within the major, as well as an upper-level course in their field of expertise.

Arcadia's College of Arts and Sciences offers programs in science, technology, math; humanities; visual and performing arts; communications; and historical and political studies. These programs prepare students to be leaders in a global society by providing opportunities to exhibit, perform, and publish on campus and in the Philadelphia area. The campus has a variety of outlets to support the arts and sciences, including art galleries, a literary magazine, and an online academic journal.

Qualifications:
Include Knowledge, Skills and Abilities and Minimum Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates should possess a Ph.D. degree in a Biology-related discipline with specific training and related research interests in the fields of Human and/or Comparative Anatomy.
  • Postdoctoral training is highly desired, and it is expected that faculty will develop an active research program engaging undergraduate students.
  • Prior experience in teaching Human Anatomy or Comparative Anatomy to undergraduate students is strongly desired.
