We are currently looking for experienced Environmental Health & Safety Technicians to assist with the Afghan project we have at Fort Pickett in Virginia or McGuire AFB, NJ
These are 90-day assignments with the potential for extension, depending on the base need. You would assist in caring for American citizens returning from Afghanistan, this includes Afghani citizens that have acted as friends of the US and are now arriving in the US for purposes of relocation to this country. So far, we have recruited RN's, Phlebotomists, Nurse Practitioners, and other medical professionals, that if also approved, you will be working with on the base. Ft. Pickett in Virginia is looking for candidates that are open to either days or nights. Shifts will vary between 8-12 hours, never exceeding 12 hours.

- Implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Medical Health Intelligence Risk Assessment.
- Monitor Water hygiene, food safety, fire safety
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
- Occupational Hygiene
- Communicable Disease Management
- Incident and Accident Management
Qualifications:
- Updated Resume
- Minimum Associates Degree in either (Biological Science, Envirinmental Health & Safety, Applied Science, or Public Health)
- Knowledge of National Sanitation Foundation ("NSF"), American Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Institute ("ANSI"), The American Industrial Hygiene Association ("AIHA"), and The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers ("ASHRAE"). OSHA 40 hour training preferred
- Copy of COVID vaccination
- Proof of Measles vaccination or MMR (McGuire AFB only)
- minimum 2-3 years work experience in environmental, health, occupational safety or risk management

- Deliver required safety and environmental training programs
- Improving mill safety and environmental performance
- Report operational safety and environmental performance
- Conduct safety, quality and environmental training
- Implement environmental health programs with continuous improvement
- Advise managers regarding safety compliance and environmental issues
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations
- Support environmental initiatives and environmental capital and maintenance projects
- Develop and provide employee safety and environmental training
- Taking preventative and corrective actions for environmental health and safety
- Provide environmental, health and safety regulatory and technical support
- Identify and evaluate occupational health, safety and environmental conditions
- Assist in the development of environmental and safety training programs
- Implementing and ensuring facility safety and environmental guidelines
- Support safety & environmental goals and initiatives
- Coordinate the implementation of the environmental, health and safety management system
- Provide safety and environmental guidance to enable and improve site execution of a risk-based environmental, health & safety process
- Completing environmental reporting requirements, investigating and reporting environmental incidents and set-up of required environmental systems
- Providing and directing plant safety, health and environmental training and annual compliance auditing
- Conduct environmental aspects/impact assessment
