Position Title: Molecular Biology Lab Technologist

Position Summary: As an integral member of the IdentifySensors Biologics Corp. team, the Molecular Biology Lab Technologist will be responsible for advancing the development of biomedical devices in the company's portfolio. the Molecular Biology Lab Technologist will work closely with technical staff on the day to day development of sensors for the detection of pathogens. The position will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures and functions; ensuring the completion of assigned workload; operating, troubleshooting and maintaining cleanliness of laboratory equipment and work area; preparing written and electronic reports required to document procedures and test results; performing cross-functional duties, as assigned, or requested; performing other duties related to and consistent with the job as required. Salary support is commensurate on the candidate's experience. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US.

Responsibilities and Duties: Although other duties may be assigned as needed, the core duties and responsibilities of this position are estimated at: 40 % of time - Support the laboratory activities in assay development and validation. Provide daily laboratory support for biosensor preparation and analyses. Work with senior scientists in support of laboratory experiments and procedures required for cross-functional cooperation.

40 % of time - Design primers and perform side-by-side PCR and sensor experiments to ensure biosensors meet the company's high standards for quality and precision. Manage the laboratory's molecular reagents inventory.

20% of time - Summarize data/results in written reports for departmental and interdepartmental meetings.

Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in molecular biology or a related field, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills: Minimum of one year relevant experience in a research laboratory or industry setting.

• Experience in preparing laboratory reagents, as well as in the operation and general maintenance of standard laboratory equipment.

• Must have strong molecular biology skills, including aseptic technique and experience with PCR techniques and primer design.

• Experience with routine lab operations is essential, including experience with purchasing and obtaining quotes for lab supplies, receiving and tracking inventory, organizing laboratory reagents, coordinating/troubleshooting minor equipment malfunctions and repairs

• Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite

• Strong oral and written communication skills, with a positive and forward-thinking attitude

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, including task prioritization and record-keeping

• Ability to work under pressure with scientific deadlines

• Ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues

• Manual dexterity and close attention to detail
