The Cadmus Group LLC seeks a highly motivated Project Manager to support contracts with government clients in the areas of public health, drinking water, water quality, and environmental science/policy. Successful candidates will have experience providing administrative support to projects as a project coordinator or project manager in consulting, or a similar field, and experience working closely with multiple project or program managers to complete quality work on time and within budget.Candidates must have a record of professional excellence, advanced problem-solving skills, exceptional oral and written communication, experience supervising staff, and experience managing multiple clients and projects simultaneously. Serving as a deputy, assistant, or project manager in close collaboration with senior team members to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables to clients.Managing tasks, schedules, and budgets with minimal supervision and ensuring consistency and quality of all products.Supervising staff and training new staff members.Responsible for project coordination activities:Preparing agendas and taking meeting minutes on internal and external calls.Keeping track of changes in long- and short-term project goals.Making sure that managers and technical staff are prepared for relevant meetings and meet project deadlines.Communicating and creating effective communications for project teams.Preparing assignments for individuals and technical project teams.Preparing briefings for project managers and clients.Tracking the status of project deliverables, milestones, and feedback.Tracking schedules, action items, decisions, risk, issues, lessons learned, and project budgets.Documenting standard operating procedures.Providing quality control support and review of project work.Responsible for coordination activities across projects:Providing administrative support to help facilitate information sharing and planning between project control, contracts, accounting, and project teams.Supporting the efforts of multiple project managers at the same time.Gathering and analyzing data necessary to support staff planning.
Required Qualifications: A Bachelors degree with coursework in in sciences, environmental science and policy, computer science, public administration, or other relevant areas and 8 years relevant work experience. A Master's degree is highly desirable.Project coordinator or management experience including budget management.Staff management experience including workload planning, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting professional development.Must demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing environments, and work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Must demonstrate strong communications skills, both written and verbal.Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.Must be able to work under deadlines.Must demonstrate professionalism and a positive work ethic in all situations with coworkers, project managers, and clients.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States - must be US Citizens or Permanent Residents.Desired Qualifications:Experience as a project coordinator or project manager supporting EPA contracts or task orders.Classwork or professional experience with EPA regulatory programs, water science, or environmental policies and programs.Experience coordinating proposal efforts and/or developing detailed project plans.Experience managing subcontractors and teaming partners.Experience with financial planning and resource management including familiarity with management and accounting software (e.g., MS Project, Costpoint, SharePoint, and MS Teams).Additional Information: To be considered, please submit the following materials:A one-page cover letter describing your qualifications, interests, and career objectives.
