Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Transformational and Translational Immunology Discovery (TTID) and Genomics Research Center (GRC) team members to design and execute in vitro cell biology and mechanism of action experiments to advance target identification and validation efforts in immunology and fibrosis.
Perform mammalian cell culture of primary and transformed cells.
Perform qPCR analysis, flow cytometry, and Western Blotting analysis.
Perform cell-based assay with human primary cells and human cell lines (AlphaLISA, ELISA, HTRF, proliferation assays).
Utilize technical knowledge and experience to effectively troubleshoot and optimize assays.
Maintaining laboratory notebooks to the required company standard.
Communicating results to internal meetings.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and delivery results in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Extensive cell biology experience, proficiency in working with human primary cells and immortalized cell lines.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience of key cell biology assays and techniques. (Flow cytometry, Immunofluorescence imaging, AlphaLISA, ELISA, endpoint analysis, HTRF).
Genetic manipulation of human cells using shRNA/siRNA/CRISPR tools.
Proficiency in molecular biology skills such as qPCR analysis, flow cytometry, and Western Blotting analysis.
Trouble-shooter able to adapt ideas and experiments to achieve key project objectives and adhere to timelines.
Excellent communication of complex scientific ideas (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills required, in particular good time management skills.
Inclusive, open-minded, collaborative, and forward-thinking.
Desired:
- Background in cell biology of inflammation or fibrosis.
Excellent oral and written communication, analytical, and computer skills.
Qualification:
- BS degree and above from academia/industry in a biology relevant scientific discipline with at least 1-2 years of laboratory experience.
