Responsibilities for this Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator position include, but are not limited to:
Conducts all hands-on EH&S training as needed. Conduct annual refresher training to all employees in the area of health and safety aspects. Constantly walk through the production floor, to ensure that safety protocols are followed by all. Work collaboratively with different departments including production, warehouse, QA and maintenance to ensure the workplace safety Maintain and manage the EHS programs, policies and procedures that comply with federal, state and local rules and regulations. Apply and renew any permits or licenses applied. Assist with any government inspections in the field of EHS including but not limited to OSHA, Health Dept., Building & Safety, etc. To be considered for this Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator position, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, safety or related field is required. Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA regulations, policies, programs, PPE, environmental policies (EPA), safety engineering, accident/injury investigation procedures and operating rules, etc. Bilingual in Spanish Requires at least 3 to 5 years working in a CPG manufacturing/production environment in a similar role. Travel may be required periodically depending on business need.
