Job Description:

Experienced Environmental Group Manager is required having 5+ years of factory experience and/or division, regional, or corporate environmental experience.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

• Experience with database management programs

• Ability to travel nationally 50% of the time.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently.

• 4-year degree required in a scientific or environmental related discipline. Environmental Professional Certification (CEM, etc.) strongly preferred.

• 5+ years of factory experience and/or division, regional, or corporate environmental experience;

• Strong technical understanding of Environmental issues and their relationship to production, engineering and job functions as it relates to building in prevention;

• Strong leadership, influencing and self-initiative skills;

• Ability to communicate complex regulatory and technical issues in lay terms;

• Environmental Professional Certification (CEM, etc.) strongly preferred;

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;

• Ability to travel 30-40%.

Responsibility:

• Responsible for educating state, regional, county and local health agencies and food regulators in the awareness of NSF standards and certification / registration / and inspection programs.

• Identify, track and provide recommendations for input to legislative and regulatory changes to environmental health codes and ordinances.

• Visit and correspond with health agencies and environmental health regulators; identify emerging needs and issues; and report to NSF program offices coordinating response/actions back to the regulatory contact.

• Ensuring the environmental compliance, performance, and acting as the functional expert resource for the organization;

• Working with internal and external partners to develop, implement and maintain robust environmental strategies, policies and plans across the global corporation;

• Promoting a highly efficient, low cost value chain with a continuous excellence mindset;

• Developing Environmental programs, systems and processes (training, coaching, ISO 14001, audit, building effective networks);

• Serving as company environmental counsel to support other leaders;

• Providing technical and liaison expertise.
