Become part of cutting edge and highly innovative Chemical Biology and Quantitative Biosciences departments. Using robust scientific methodology, novel translational models, and state-of-the-art instrumentation and automation, we collaborate to discover the next medical breakthrough. To achieve our goal, we have added new capability enhancements for higher-resolution interrogation of novel biology and the molecular mechanism of action of molecules that help advance the best drug candidates into the clinic.

Target discovery is critical to the success of drug discovery. We are therefore seeking an innovative cell biologist to jointhe Chemical Biology group atour company's Research Laboratories in Boston/Cambridge to contribute to our endeavor.
  • Become part of a creative and flexible team; collaborate and work closely with other scientists. Contribute to experimental design, analysis, and interpretation of experiments
  • Collaborate with Oncology, Metabolic Disease, Neuroscience and Infectious Disease discovery teams to execute on phenotypic screening and chemical biology-based platform builds
  • The successful candidate will be able to design cell-based experiments using genetic and pharmacological manipulation of pathways and proteins in relevant cell systems to validate novel targets and characterize molecular mode of action of tool molecules
  • Function and communicate effectively in a highly productive multi-disciplinary environment


Preferred Experience and Skills
  • A background in cell-based assay development is required.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a background in cell biology/pharmacology, chemical biology, or experience in automation, primary cell culture (physiologically relevant cell types such as iPSC-derived cells, etc), and/or 2D/3D cellular culture
  • The successful applicant will have a track record of achievement working on teams and independently designing and executing experiments. Highly self-motivated and capable of prioritizing deliverables among multiple simultaneous projects
  • Have a good understanding of biological concepts, pharmacologyand phenotypic screening
  • Possess strong analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong communication (oral and written) skills


Qualifications / Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field
