Where the Chemistry Happens

We are seeking a professional like you to become a part of our Biology R&D - Herbicide Development greenhouse and laboratory herbicide evaluation team. Key project team members include Biology, Sample Logistics, Formulations, Tech Service and Marketing. As a member of the team, you will assist or coordinate greenhouse, growth chamber and laboratory experiments supporting herbicide product evaluation, selection and development.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent

Formula for Success

Applying your relevant education and experience, you will understand herbicide biology, plant physiology, research methodologies and interpretation of results.

Leveraging your education in Weed Science, Agronomy, Physiology, Horticulture or other relevant Agricultural science and your relevant industry work experience, you will support research aspects including herbicide physiology, experimental design, crop / weed production, test substance application, maintenance, data collection, analysis, presentation of results and related training demonstrations.

Any previous experience you may have in conducting herbicide greenhouse and field trials, laboratory (c14, HPLC work), in a research environment with both weed and crop species (corn, cotton, soybean, wheat, rice, canola) will be a valued asset in this role.

This role requires that you are willing and able to safely handle agricultural chemicals, as well as obtain a NC Pesticide License.
