POSITION: Research Scientist - Assay Development and Screening

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, and optimize novel biochemistry and cell-based assays for lead discovery and optimization
  • Develop and maintain state-of-the-art automation workflow for high-throughput screening and hit confirmation
  • Design and execute molecular biology, cell biology, and genomics experiment to support target discovery and validation
  • Responsible for screening data acquisition, tracking, and processing


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • MS or PhD degree in Biology or Pharmacology, or equivalent industrial experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant research experience in the academic or pharmaceutical industry
  • Broad experience with molecular and cell biology experimental techniques (e.g. RT-PCR, qPCR, Western, ELISA, siRNA, shRNA, CRISPR)
  • Experience with cell based or biochemical assays is desirable
  • Experience in developing plate-based HTS assays and automation workflow is desirable
  • Experience with NGS-based genomic profiling techniques such as RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, Amplicon-seq is a plus
  • Demonstrated learning agility and success moving into and mastering new or unfamiliar areas of science
