Microbiologist I
Growing Pharmaceutical company is adding to their team and needs a motivate entry level Microbiologist with good sterile technique and a great passion for this science! This position will start as soon as a qualified candidate is identified so don't delay in sending in your resume today. Hours will be Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Primary duties:
Perform microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
Perform testing using agar plates and 3M Petrifilm.
Conduct Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
Initiate and/or review new test methods and test method revisions.
Assist in troubleshooting issues that arise during analysis.
Conduct and/or review all analysis and documentation using cGMP and FDA guidelines.
Prepare and maintain laboratory reagents and standardized solutions.
Assist in method development work, and new product Development.
Wear personal protective equipment such as (lab coat, gloves, safety glasses, etc.) as needed to perform tasks.
Know, follow and perform all required safety measures per company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and OSHA regulation, as required.
Complete review of analytical raw data.
All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
BS/BA in Microbiology or related field
Applicable experience preferred but will consider new graduates
Excellent documentation skills
Excellent Math skills
Excellent organizational skills
Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment
