*Associate III, QC Microbiology*

*Position is Monday-Friday- First Shift*
*Plainville, MA*

*How will you make an impact?*
As this is a brand-new site currently in construction, the lead will be integral with ensuring operational readiness of the lab to support GMP production. The key focuses will be to assist in implementing the routine monitoring of the environment, critical utilities, and the performance of microbiological assays. The incumbent will also support routine testing, equipment qualification, documentation, investigations and improvement initiatives within QC Microbiology. Works cohesively with peers and QC Microbiology management.

*What will you do?*

*Position is Monday-Friday- First Shift*
*Occasional support on weekends may be required to support qualification of the systems and facility*

* Perform and support environmental monitoring and critical utility testing
* Perform routine microbiology assays including bioburden, endotoxin testing, and growth promotion.
* Review assays and LIMS entries
* Author investigations (alerts/actions, deviations)
* Author Corrective Actions (CAPAs) and Change Controls (CCRs)
* Revise technical documents (SOPs, Work Instructions)
* Provide training to junior level employees
* Troubleshoot assay and equipment failures with management

*Special Requirements*

* Ability to gown and gain access to cleanroom and utility areas
* Ability to work with Spor-Klenz
* Position is considered essential personnel and may be required to staff the lab during inclement weather or other internal/external emergency situations
* Rotating holiday coverage
* Occasional off shift hours may be required to meet business needs

*How will you get here?*
*Education*
Bachelor's degree in biological sciences and minimum of 3 years of industry experience

*Experience*
Experience performing environmental monitoring, critical utility sampling and microbiological assays
