Job Description
ECT is looking for full-time technical staff for environmental compliance monitoring, wetlands delineations, vegetation plantings, natural resources assessments, wetland mitigation and monitoring, NEPA document preparation. Field work and report preparation support. These positions can be REMOTE and candidates can reside West of the Mississippi River or in/around Wyoming.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform environmental field- and office-based studies for flora and fauna surveys, support avian nest surveys, wetland delineation and determination, as well as the production of construction documents and specifications
  • Perform environmental construction inspections
  • Assist with vegetative plantings
  • Work independently in the field with limited immediate oversight
  • Conduct threatened and endangered species habitat assessments, site investigations, ecological surveys
  • Assist with permitting and NEPA report preparation
  • Assist project managers to ensure project deadlines are met
  • Assist team to ensure quality documentation and products are produced
  • Contribute to a positive and professional environment
  • Effectively manage projects to assist the organization in achieving a higher level of performance

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental oriented major with 5-8 years of relevant experience
  • Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT) or Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) credentials preferred
  • Environmental Permitting, Ecological Analysis, Wetland Delineation, T&E Species Habitat Analysis, and report preparation skills preferred

Job Essentials:
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Travel extensively (80-90%) to provide oversight at construction sites, conduct fieldwork, and client meetings
  • Travel out of town and overnight to multiple states in the Midwest working in varying outdoor weather conditions, that may include extreme temperatures and possibly working in and around water
  • Work long days hours outside a standard M-F schedule
  • Lift 50+ pounds, pull, hike, and sit or stand for long periods of time
