The Environmental Analyst will play a key role in Supply Chain's Environmental Sustainability, Social Responsibility, and Governance (ESG) strategy by managing and continuously improving environmental data collection, analysis, and reporting processes for the company's locations. The Environmental Analyst will report to the Director of the Center of Excellence and will work with the Indirect Services Team and the Environmental, Social and Governance committee to establish sustainability goals, identify environmental footprint reduction projects, and monitor and report SCI's accomplishments to internal and external stakeholders. Key responsibilities include researching environmental reporting trends and best practices, continuously improving environmental data collection and consumption behavior for the company's locations.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Implement and manage standardized processes to collect, analyze, and report on environmental sustainable data and related financial data that align with selected ESG standard reporting frameworks.
* Conduct research about environmental reporting trends and best practices.
* Work with data capture software to design, and continuously improve the tools used for environmental data collection, calculations, analysis, monitoring, and reporting.
* Collaborate with business process owners to identify opportunities to improve consumption behavior.
* Identify opportunities to impact utility and other environmental consumption reduction.
* Support projects that drive process improvement surrounding environmental practices.
* Collaborate with ESG steering committee leadership members to establish applicable goals and targets.
* Coordinate with strategic suppliers to identify ESG sustainability data and evaluate environmental footprint reduction projects, support project implementation, and monitor and report on results.
* Attend industry webinars, conferences and other events
* Prepare reporting and PowerPoint documentation of data collection, analysis, and reporting processes and results.
MINIMUM Requirements
Education
* Bachelor's degree in a field related to Business Management, Environmental Management, Data Science, or a similarly technical and engineering-minded field preferred.
Experience
* 5 years' of related business experience, 3+ years supporting environmental projects and/or preparing environmental reporting that align with the leading ESG frameworks.
* Experience developing environmental data collection systems, tools, databases, and/or software.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
* Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze data, leveraging information to provide clear, concise and supported recommendations for action.
* Interest and experience in common and best practices covering environmental and supplier sustainability.
* Capacity to work independently and simultaneously handle a variety of complex matters under deadline pressure.
* Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with other stakeholder groups.
* Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.
* Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills to provide strategic advice to various disciplines across the company related to ESG matter.
* Strong written communication and verbal skills.
