As an In Vivo Scientist you will be a part of our Cell Therapy Oncology organization and you will report into our Novel Technologies division. You will be a part of a team who are committed to expanding our cell therapy pipeline.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
  • You will establish and utilize in vivo model systems to determine the efficacy and mechanism of action of novel cellular therapy products.
  • You will contribute to study design and be responsible for independently executing in vivo experiments to support optimization and validation of cell therapy products.
  • Following completion of the experiment, you will analyze the data, present it to the team, and play an active role in the subsequent discussions leading to decisions and next steps.
  • You will be accountable for the quality of the data and complying with record keeping requirements.


POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • The In Vivo Scientist will be responsible for the investigation of new experimental approaches to specific problems using scientific theory and technical literature
  • You will identify plan and execute well defined scientific projects
  • You will use defined practices and theoretical knowledge to perform analysis, interpret results and determine appropriate action
  • You will utilize relevant information, technology and resources, contributing to complex team problem resolution and objectives
  • You will interpret results of complex experiments
  • You will prepare and present comprehensive technical or project reports and formal presentations / posters to full range of internal / external audiences
  • Conducts scientific presentations to internal audiences
  • Receives high level instructions on all work, determines methods on new assignments, works closely with manager, you may manage junior staff


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

Education and Experience:

Required:
  • BS (Biology/Pharmacology) and at least 5 years of research experience or MS and at least 3 years of research in a lab setting working with animals
  • Strong experimental skills, including mammalian tissue culture, in vivo model development, drug administration by multiple routes (IV, SQ, IP, IT, PO), and blood/tissue collection. Imaging experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in immunology and/or immune oncology. Understanding of cell and gene therapies is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with flow based assays is desirable
  • Data analysis skills, including proficiency with commonly used software
  • Excellent organizational skills, and oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment
