**Job Summary**

**AECOM** is seeking a Senior Level Risk Assessor in the Oakland, CA area. This role is an opportunity to provide technical expertise for human health risk assessment across the firm, develop technical approaches, interact with regulatory agencies, and network externally. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in toxicology and will develop, design, and implement human health risk assessments.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

+ Develops, designs, and implements human health risk assessments with a focus on vapor intrusion;

+ Excellent risk communication and writing skills a must, as well as ability to work as a team;

+ Performs data evaluation, exposure and toxicity assessment, and risk characterization for sites governed under State programs, USEPA RCRA and CERCLA programs;

+ Reviews and interpret toxicity information, regulatory guidance documents, and associated regulations;

+ Advocates technical positions on behalf of the client;

+ Prepares final reports summarizing risk assessment procedures and results under various environmental regulations, with a focus on California regulation;

+ Interacts with various interdisciplinary groups within the company to direct and develop report deliverables;

+ Preparation of proposals, scope and budget estimates, and client and agency presentations;

+ May provide training and technical supervision to junior level staff;

**Minimum Requirements**

+ Bachelor's or Master's degree in toxicology, public health, biology, or related scientific field;

+ 10+ years of related experience;

+ Knowledge of West Coast regulatory protocols, e.g., Low Threat Closure Policy

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience conducting Proposition 65 Assessments;

+ Advanced degree

+ DABT

+ Experience with blood lead modeling;

+ Knowledge of PFAS/PFOS and emerging contaminants chemistry and assessment;

+ Experience working with CA RWQCB, DTSC and USEPA
