Preferred Qualifications
Position Summary
Assist with an ongoing study to quantify the impacts of invasive wild pigs to agricultural producers, as well as evaluate the efficacy of wild pig management on damage reduction. This project is part of a broader effort in collaboration with USDA- Wildlife Services, the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the Newberry Soil and Water Conservation District to reduce impacts of wild pigs to agricultural producers in South Carolina through a combination of wild pig control, monitoring of damage and wild pig populations, and landowner education through outreach events.
