MICRO-BIOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN DESCRIPTION:
The Micro-Biological Technician is responsible for analyzing biological activity in all raw materials and finished products. These analyses include, but are not limited to, requirements specified by our Quality Assurance and Stock and Additive Departments. The job is a full time position daylight job with a required start time of 7:00a.m. It also requires weekend coverage on a 5 week rotating basis.

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Perform daily testing of Coating heads, and loops for Biocide Residual levels
M-F testing of Coating heads and loops for Biological plating
M-F testing of finished products for Disintegrations,
Weekly Mill wide survey of all raw materials.
Collect and ship various samples monthly to outside laboratories for additional analysis
Perform additional testing as needed such as Clo2 residuals and drinking water analysis
Maintain all required records and enter data into proficy
Notify Management when results are outside of establish parameters
Maintain lab equipment including routine PM and calibrations
Perform laboratory housekeeping activities
Maintain adequate inventory of supplies
Use safe work practices including wearing of proper PPE
Provide weekend coverage in Water lab and Micro Lab on a rotating basis
