The University of Southern California (USC), founded in 1880, is the largest private employer in the City of Los Angeles. As an employee of USC, the successful candidate will be a part of a world‐class research university and a member of the "Trojan Family," which is comprised of the faculty, students and staff that make the university what it is.
We are conducting an open search for faculty members with strong research programs in biomaterials and tissue engineering focused on mammalian systems.
The principle criterion for appointment in a tenured or tenure‐track positon is a major commitment to collaborative research and teaching. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
Necessary qualifications for this position are the ability to conduct high‐impact, federally‐funded independent research. The successful candidate must be committed to bridging research and translational approaches, and open and capable of collaborating with faculty within the department to move stem directed approaches towards clinical endpoints. Research within the department and the Eli and Edythe Broad Center for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research can be viewed at https://stemcell.keck.usc.edu. In addition, the position will involve active mentorship of students and trainees and participation in the department's diverse educational programs.
Please submit your CV, a personal statement (no more than 4 pages) of your key research contributions and future research plans that includes a teaching statement that conveys your key teaching accomplishments and your philosophy regarding mentorship and teaching.
