MSK requires all new hires, volunteers, and vendors who come onsite to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination. This is based on the COVID-19 vaccines' high level of protection and our shared responsibility in protecting our patients.

Job Description:

You Will:

Perform inspections of assigned safety equipment. Maintains records in compliance with NFPA, International Fire Code, FDNY, OSHA, and Joint Commission Standards.

Support the EHS Manager in coordinating annual inspection and required maintenance of portable fire extinguishers with vendor. Assists with coordination and implementation of inspection, testing and maintenance of other safety systems as needed.

Perform safety inspections, audits and facility safety surveillance as assigned. Initiates corrective actions where vital to achieve safety compliance.

Generate work order requests and follows up with responsible parties to Correct findings. Provides escort and assistance, including all requested paperwork during inspections conducted by regulatory agencies.

Conduct fire and non-fire drills and fire drill-in service trainings enterprise-wide, as assigned.

Support EHS managers by providing advised training on specific health and safety programs including fire safety awareness, hazardous materials management and occupational health and safety.

Respond to emergency incidents, fire and non-fire emergencies and assists with workplace investigations. In the event of a fire alarms activation, participate as a member of the MSK fire response team according to fire response procedures.

You Have:

2-4 years of experience

Proven Understanding of building and fire codes, OSHA standards and National Fire Protection Association standards.

Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

FDNY Issued Certificate of Fitness F-53, S-95, W-07 (able to acquire within 3-6 months)

Schedule:

M-F 4pm-12am, with weekend coverage when needed
