Our client, a world-leading Pharmaceutical Company in Cambridge, MA is currently looking for a Research Associate Scientist / Molecular Biology (Pharma Industry) to join their expanding team.
Position Details:
Job Title: Research Associate Scientist / Molecular Biology ( Pharma Industry)
Duration: 36 months contract
Location: Cambridge, MA
Note:
The client has the right-to-hire you as a permanent employee at any time during or after the end of the contract.

Job D escription:
A motivated individual with extensive molecular biology experience to identify viral candidates for tissue specific gene delivery.
The candidate will work closely with colleagues to extract nucleic acids from tissue or viral preps, amplify libraries via RT and PCR, and perform NGS to identify sequences of interest.
This role requires ongoing collaboration and coordination between colleagues in the BioMedicine Design and Bioinformatic groups, and will require developing and assessing new technologies and protocols to improve our ability to deliver high impact biotherapeutic agents.
Job Requirements:
Required skills:
Plasmid DNA isolation, Molecular Cloning, RT/PCR, Cell culture.
Experience in molecular biology methods such as isolation of DNA/ RNA, setting up PCR reactions and performing DNA clean up using SPRI beads
Preferred:
Eagerness to learn new techniques and skills in accordance with the research program and group needs
Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet key project deadlines
Work well in a team environment and group setting
Strong Interest in biologics discovery and engineering
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
