The Georgia State University Department of Biological Sciences invites applications from experienced, enthusiastic science educators for the position of Lecturer of Biology to begin January 2022. Qualified candidates should possess a Ph.D. in Biology, strong knowledge of pedagogy, and experience in undergraduate teaching.
This appointment is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position that reports to the department Chair. This position is a 9-month renewable appointment, and the salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The successful applicant will contribute to our talented and diverse faculty by instructing introductory and upper-level undergraduate Biology courses for majors and non-majors. We are especially interested in candidates who feel comfortable teaching molecular and cell biology, genetics, and microbiology. Additional job responsibilities will include student advisement, evaluation, and mentorship. The exceptional candidate is expected to provide service to the Department of Biology, the College, and the University, and is likely to provide service to their field and the community. Opportunities may be available to direct undergraduates that wish to pursue scholarly research.
