Are you someone with a "roll up your sleeves" attitude who wants to continue making an impact in the cannabis industry? Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for a Director of Cultivation for a fast-growing Cannabis company about 40 minutes north of the Detroit, Michigan area.

Founded in 2013, Viridian Staffing (www.viridianstaffing.com) is the original professional staffing, recruiting, and HR consulting firm solely dedicated to organizations in and supporting the commercial, medical, and industrial cannabis/hemp industry.

As the Director of Cultivation, you will have the opportunity to oversee the creation and implementation of all cultivation operations, plans, policies, and procedures - including but not limited to propagation, plant care, IPM, health and safety operations, harvest, and post-harvest. You will be able to make an impact by refining, developing & implementing an effective natural integrated pest/disease control with adherence to all state compliance and environmental safety regulations. You will also be in charge of creating a complete facility compliance plan with periodic internal audits to ensure state and environmental safety regulations are met. You will get the opportunity to come in and build a cultivation team, and be responsible for all the plants in a controlled warehouse environment. Lastly, you will be collaborating with leadership on budgeting and forecasting for the cultivation operation.

To qualify for this position, you should be someone with a bachelor's degree or higher in agriculture, horticulture, botany, biology, or similar degree, and have four-plus years of experience in a regulated cannabis market, with some of that experience leading a team of over 20 individuals and managing plant operations of 5000 plants or more. You also have exceptional experience with leading large teams, creating organic and non-organic IMP programs, and managing large plant operations. Lastly, you should have experience in the newly legal cannabis market and extraction techniques.
