Job Title: Program Associate

Department/Location: Global Health, Education, and Economic Growth Practice

Reports To: Director, MERL, Global Health

Type: Regular Full-Time

Classification: Non-Exempt

Overview:

The candidate will support the Program Management and Business Development functions at IBTCI, and will work as part of a team supporting field offices and corporate headquarters. Must be fluent in English language, both oral and written, and have full proficiency in MS Office suite. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required. Prior work experience in International Development is a plus. This position is located in Vienna, VA. The successful candidate will serve in this role to primarily support the IBTCI Health, Education, and Economic Growth Practice.

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties/Tasks and Responsibilities:

Providing research and other technical support to Programs including literature reviews, qualitative analysis, quantitative/statistical analysis, indicator reviews, and conducting program-related research support.

Providing communications support to Programs, including writing, editing, formatting, and graphics in preparing technical deliverables, such as reports and presentations.

Providing administrative support, including preparing contract request forms for consultants and field staff, corporate subcontracts, and purchase orders, assisting with recruitment of consultants or field staff, documenting meetings, and assisting with regular reporting and travel logistics.

Supporting business development efforts including recruitment for proposals; proposal management/coordination including deadline enforcement, timeline tracking; drafting requests for information/proposal sections; editing and formatting proposals; scheduling meetings and conference calls for proposals; conducting proposal research as requested.

Maintaining accurate and comprehensive electronic filing of project files, organized intuitively so others unfamiliar with the project can easily locate desired files.

Assist with social media outreach efforts.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

At least one (1) year of related project assistance, coordination, or management professional experience, ideally in the field of international development.

Fluency in oral and written English language; excellent communications and interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.

Excellent writing, research, and organizational skills.

Full proficiency in MS Office suite including Word and PowerPoint.

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

Proven ability to function as part of and to contribute to a team effort.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in international affairs, social sciences, or public health.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Experience and/or familiarity with international development.

Experience using qualitative or quantitative data analysis packages.

Experience with database management or GIS.

Excellent speaking, reading, and writing skills in French.

Working Environment: Work is typically performed in an office environment.

Physical Requirements: This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, and lift small objects up to 20 lbs.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: Occasional International Travel may be required.

Work Authorization: Candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.
