Immunitas: the human approach to oncology

Position Summary

Immunitas isseeking amotivated, enthusiastic scientist with experience inmolecular biology.The successful candidatewilljoin the Protein Scienceteam andwillbeprimarilyresponsible forgenerating DNA constructs to make proteins and cell lines insupportofour therapeutic programs.As an integral member ofour growing researchteam, this individual will also work closely withBiology andProteinEngineering to helpfurtheradvance our discovery efforts anddevelop our platform technologies.

We are developing targeted therapeutics for patients with challenging, complex cancers. We employ a single cell sequencing platform to dissect the biology of immune cells in human tumors and identify novel, exciting oncology targets.Weare currently advancingmultipleprograms toward early human studies.

Responsibilitieswillinclude:
  • Designand build vector constructs to support mammalian protein expression,stable cell line generation, and lentiviralproduction;support multiple pipeline programs simultaneously
  • Scale-up and purify plasmids for use in downstream applications
  • Register and maintainplasmid designsin electronic notebook registry
  • Help manage workingglycerol and plasmidstocks,andDNA production reagents
  • Work cross functionally to support Protein Science and Biology teams
  • Depending on candidate interest and program needs, contribute to downstream workflows from molecular biology including protein production, cell line generation, or lentiviral production
  • Maintain records, prepare reports, make presentations to updatemulti-functionalproject teams andleadership
  • Contributetogroupgoalsthrough collaboration, sharedexpertiseand exchange of ideas


Requirements:
  • B.S. or M.S. in molecular biology,biochemistry,biologyorrelated discipline with a minimum of6years experience, preferably in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting
  • Expertise withmolecular biology techniques such as cloning, PCR, Gibson assembly, DNA purification is required
  • Experience working withelectronic notebook registry is required, experience with Benchling is preferred
  • Experience with cell culturing techniques is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, design, execute,interpretand troubleshoot experiments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, strong organizational and interpersonal skills
