Siegwerk is looking for an EHS Specialist to join our Health, Environmental and Safety Team in Des Moines! The EHS Specialist will provide technical and regulatory expertise to ensure compliance with environmental regulations, maintaining a safe workplace, and continuous improvement of Siegwerk's EHS programs and policies.

- Responsible for developing and maintaining Siegwerk's safety EHS management and compliance programs.
- Conduct all required local, county, state and federal inspections; including but not limited to SWPPP, SPCC, RCRA and air quality, etc.
- Complete all required EHS related operating permits including but not limited to storm water, air quality, air construction, etc. Maintain all required EHS related certifications.
- Completion of all HSE related compliance reports, including but not limited to OSHA, Tier II, SARA 313, Title V, and Hazardous Waste.
- Process all required EHS related fees.
- Develop, conduct and maintain EHS training for Siegwerk personnel.
- Lead the plant's risk assessment and behavior based safety program.
- Support Siegwerk's raw material SDS program, including review of new materials for PPE compliance.
- Communicate HSE information to Siegwerk employees and customers.
- Responsible for supporting incident investigation and reporting.
- Participates in developing, scheduling, and conducting internal EHS audits and related reporting; assists in evaluating appropriate follow-up corrective action.
- Support Regional EHS Manager in response to compliance inquiries from EPA, OSHA, DOT and federal, state and local governmental agencies.
- Support the product safety group in the development of safety data sheets for products manufactured by Siegwerk.
- Support Plant Manager's needs in the administration of Siegwerk's EHS programs and policies.
- Manages and monitors hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or related field.
- Minimum of five years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
