Summary

About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Forces Command, G-3/5/7 Directorate Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Fort Bragg is known as the "Home of the Airborne and Special Operations Forces." It is a culturally diverse area with both rural and city populations and is co-located at Fayetteville, NC. It is centrally located just hours away from the beautiful beaches of North Carolina and the scenic Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare FORSCOM reviews and evaluations of Army Doctrine, Mission needs statements and fielding concepts concerning new training simulations.
  • Exercise staff responsibility for FORSCOM new and proposed training simulation system development.
  • Ensure that all projects undertaken meet FORSCOM and Army standardization criteria.
  • Ensure FORSCOM complies with Army policy and guidance regarding implementation of Distance Learning processes.
  • Develop operating plans, timelines, and milestones to implement Army Learning Models (ALM) in FORSCOM.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year Specialized experience in 1) Advising and assisting the installation commands on the procedures and application of training aids, devices, simulators and simulations; 2) Examining documents, records, and training reports to ensure adherence to mission readiness requirements; 3) Utilizing analytical tools and techniques to complete analysis requirements; 4) Communicating orally and in writing to present training data into usable resource management information for briefings and reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
