Responsibilities:
The Senior Environment Specialist is responsible for supporting compliance with state and federal environmental regulations and with environmental permitting. This position provides technical assistance for the development and implementation of the Companys environmental strategies, including but not limited to air, water, waste and environmental management systems. Is familiar with Company assets in order to identify areas and make recommendations for environmental compliance. Supports environmental training staff in the regulations and assists with compliance activities.Responsibilities:Oversee remediation projects and provide senior level regulatory guidance and technical support and submit reports within regulatory timelinesCoordinate required environmental training with HSE Training Group Conduct Environmental Site Assessments for Acquisitions, Mergers, Trades and DivestituresAudit Waste Disposal Facilities including third-party SWDs and LandfillsCoordinate NORM Surveys and oversight of NORM Waste DisposalEvaluate appropriate Environmental Sustainability and Governance metrics and statementsSupport incident management operationsKeeping abreast of emerging Environmental requirements and Best PracticesQA/QC of sampling data
Qualifications:
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience Degree in Environmental related fieldDegree in Environmental related fieldStrong working knowledge and understanding of Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations. (EPA, RRC, TCEQ)Working knowledge of E & P operationsAbility to work with other departments and outside contractors or regulatory agencies in an effective and professional mannerExcellent communication and organizational abilities.Proficient skills and effective use of Microsoft Office
