Temp Aquatic Macroinvertebrate Sample Sorter

Need to fill is immediate and expected to go until Spring of 2022

Flexible schedule requiring commitment of at least 10 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Successful candidates with have education and/or experience in biological or environmental science. Previous experience related to aquatic invertebrates is desirable. Looking for detail oriented and conscientious candidates, willing to perform tedious, repetitive tasks and work independently once trained.

Job Requirements:

Duties include:

• Sorting macroinvertebrates from substrate material collected with sample to prepare organisms for identification by a professional taxonomist
• Accurately and neatly recording information on a lab bench sheet
• Labeling sample containers to track samples
• Track time spend on each sample
• Perform quality assurance checks
