You will join our Impact Assessment Spearhead

As our new Senior Project Finance Due Diligence Consultant, you will be part of our world-renown project finance team, which sits within our global Impact Assessment Spearhead (IASH). Based in one of our European offices, you would be working closely with Spearhead colleagues across our global office network in Europe, Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Working for both borrowers and lenders, the team's core services are to support the bankability of international developments projects, and offer the opportunity work on important and prestigious projects across a range of geographies and sectors We offer flexible office locations across the UK, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:
  • Project managing small, medium and large-scale international lender Independent Environmental & Social Consultant (IESC) projects and international ESIAs
  • Technical input and delivery, including report writing and internal reviews, on a range IESC projects and ESIAs
  • Proposal management and writing, and contract negotiation
  • Support to implementation of the Impact Assessment Spearhead business development plan
  • Taking an active role in key client management and business development
  • Line management and mentoring of junior Impact Assessment Spearhead staff

Your key deliverables within the first 12 months will be:
  • Successful delivery as project manager of a number of E&S due diligence assessments on behalf of Project Finance lenders
  • Establishment of a personal business development plan to support the broader Impact Assessment Spearhead business development plan, with a focus international Project Finance and the development new clients

  • Extensive experience in the field Project Finance as described above.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of environmental, social and engineering technical specialists
  • Project Management experience, including management of ESIAs/EIAs for large-scale developments
  • Practical experience of the implementation of international lender E&S standards, including the IFC Performance Standards, the OECD Common Approaches and the Equator Principles
  • Must be fluent in English and fluency in French and/or German would be advantageous
