Apex Systems is seeking a Cell Biologist for our growing biotech company located in Hatfield, PA Our client's team is is passionate about developing treatments for serious and life-threatening diseases. We are currently looking for talented, highly motivated individuals with strong backgrounds in bioscience and technology who are driven by patient outcomes. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry with 1-3 years of laboratory experience, or a master's degree (M.S.) degree in chemistry or biochemistry with 0-2 years of laboratory experience. The candidate should be comfortable with working both independently and as a part of a team.

The primary responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Work independently to perform molecular and cell-based screens for characterization and optimization of both oligonucleotide payloads and targeting moieties.
Design & execute new research projects to enhance existing assay techniques.
Provide multi-disciplinary support of the Discovery and Therapeutic Area teams throughout assay development.
Support internal as well as external collaborative RD projects.
Perform testing protocols and support construction of SOPs for the Development team.
Maintain data/records in an organized manner.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture
Experience with DNA/RNA isolation and quantitative PCR
Experience with various plate-based assay screens (i.e., fluorescence, luminescence, and/or ELISA)
