GCHI/Keystone Cement, a leader in the construction materials industry since 1926, has an immediate opening for an Environmental Manager to join the leadership team of our cement manufacturing facility located in Bath, PA. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing leadership that assures full compliance with all environmental regulations affecting our facility.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Development and administration of compliance programs for all air, water, waste, and fuel regulations (Federal and State) affecting the facility
  • Review new regulations for potential impact on the plant and lead appropriate action
  • Complete and maintain applications for Federal and State permits
  • Accompany Federal and State personnel during agency inspections at facility, establish positive working relationship with regulators
  • Assure all reporting requirements are met in an accurate and timely manner
  • Oversee daily activities of Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator and Documents Coordinator
  • Supporting, motivating, and coaching the workforce to maintain a safe, compliant, and productive work environment
  • Management of contractors for services including water/groundwater sampling, stack testing, and solid waste sampling/disposal, and laboratory analysis

Requirements for consideration include:

  • Current legal eligibility to work in the United States
  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Sciences or related field of study
  • An unwavering commitment to the highest standards for workplace safety, environmental compliance, and manufacturing of high-quality products
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • A minimum of ten years of managerial / supervisory experience in the management of environmental programs within a heavy manufacturing workplace including the Clean Air Act and MACT, involvement with alternative fuel programs a plus
  • Current computer skills including the use of e-mail, tracking tools (production and maintenance), and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to physically inspect plant properties where climbing stairs and ladders is required, able to walk extended distances over unpaved terrain in all weather conditions
