Job Scope & Purpose:
Our Watertown based client is in need of a talented Research Associate to join their team. Extensive mammalian cell culture as well as Western Blot and ELISA are key requirements. Primary Job Responsibilities:
Design and execute cell based and biochemical assays for various oncology projects
Develop cell and molecular assays to characterize mechanism of action for compounds and support the identification of pharmacodynamic markers
Provide results and interpretation to project teams in timely manner
Support and maintain lab operations for the Discovery team
Highly collaborative and a team player who is able to effectively work across functional teams across diverse cultures, backgrounds and styles
Ability to work well in a fast paced, innovative and performance driven environment
Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
Ability to self-motivate and work independently
Strong communication skills preferred
Primary Job Requirements:
Bachelors in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other related field with 2+ years of relevant experience
Extensive cell culture experience with various cancer lines
Skilled in developing and running cell-based assays, including cell viability, Reporter gene assays and protein quantification assays (Western Blot, ELISA, AlphaLISA)
Experience with RNA analysis (RT-qPCR)
Working knowledge of standard molecular biology applications including cloning and sequencing
Familiar with target validation approaches using RNAi and CRISPR
