Kimley-Horn is looking for Environmental Science interns to join our Environmental team in Tampa, FL for the summer of 2022!


As an Intern with Kimley-Horn, you will benefit from hands-on experience, technical and consulting trainings, mentorship opportunities, and developmental programs geared towards growing Kimley-Horn's next generation of leaders. You will also gain exposure to client interactions and project financials. As a valuable addition to our team, you will solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate with partners to produce our clients' visions for the future built environment.


Have or in the process of receiving a BS or MS degree from an accredited university in the field of Environmental Science by summer of 2023

Excellent verbal and written communication

Ability to apply technical skills to meet project demands and solve problems for our clients

Positive attitude and an impressive work ethic

Clear sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet deadlines

Attention to details and ability to contribute to a positive work environment

Passion and demonstrated drive to achieve goals

Interested candidates must have a willingness to perform general tasks supporting various projects including environmental, transportation planning, traffic operations, roadway design, and land development/site civil design projects. The qualified candidate will have knowledge of geological and biological sciences, natural resource regulations, water quality regulatory programs, wetlands identification including knowledge of botany and soil science and experience or classwork in chemistry, ecology, geology, water resources, geographic information systems and environmental science.

Tasks may include, but are not limited to:

· Field support

· GIS mapping

· Data analysis

· Agency coordination

· Report writing
